GharHisab: Property & Tenant Management System

Every property, every tenant, every rupee, in one place.

GharHisab

Managing rental property usually means juggling notebooks, spreadsheets, phone calls, and memory. Who has paid this month? How much is the electricity share for each tenant? What is due next week, and in which calendar, AD or BS?

GharHisab (ghar = house, hisab = accounts) was built to replace that scattered routine with one clear system. An owner can add multiple properties and units, assign tenants, and see the whole picture on a dashboard: expected rent, billed amounts, collected payments, and upcoming dues. Utility bills are calculated inside the app instead of by hand, and tax and VAT can be configured to match how the owner actually invoices.

Because it is made for Nepali owners, it works in both AD and BS dates and in English or Nepali. Reminders and tenant emails keep payments on schedule without awkward follow-up calls, and reports give owners a clear record of their rental income.

On the technical side, the frontend is React 18 with TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui. Data fetching runs through TanStack Query, forms are validated with React Hook Form and Zod, and i18next handles the bilingual interface. The backend is PostgreSQL on Supabase, with database functions powering the dashboard analytics. Charts use Recharts, reports can be exported as PDF, and the app is set up as a PWA.
